Paid Consultation Agreement

With this form, you are contacting Forstai Cyber Kinetics, LLC (“us” or “we”) to evaluate a potential representation. To protect the time of our attorneys, we provide these evaluations at a flat fee of $300 for a 45-minute meeting. During this meeting, we will offer only an opinion of whether we can assist you via legal representation and you will be able to determine if we are, in fact, the right firm to assist you. This consultation fee is not for legal advice and is earned on receipt.

The timing of legal representation can be impacted by timeliness. You are advised that the passage of time may bar you from pursuing a claim or avoiding a penalty. Because time is important and could be critically short in the matter for which you are seeking representation, we recommend that you also contact other attorneys for assistance in case we are unable to assist you. This also helps you find the right lawyer for your specific needs.

You can always call the Oregon State Bar Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) at 503-684-3763 or 1-800-452-7636. You may also request an online referral by visiting the LRS Web site at http://www.osbar.org/public/ris/ris.html. The LRS maintains a list of lawyers who may be able to handle your case.

We may provide you with opinions, options, and potential course of action during this meeting to give you an idea of our working style and strategy. You are not allowed to record this meeting or use AI transcription or note taking services without our prior written authorization. This does not include accessibility aides for those with hearing impairment, provided they are not stored after the meeting is over or used to train or develop any AI functionality.

You are always encouraged you to seek a second opinion of anything you understand from our meeting. We will take no further action on your part, do not represent you, and are not acting as your lawyer unless and until a subsequent engagement letter is executed between us. Only an engagement letter signed by both of us will create an attorney-client relationship.
